Mindfulness With Music Practice: 

  1. Find a quiet place to listen to your favorite tunes with headphones. 
  2. Make yourself comfortable, lay down or sit upright in a relaxed position. Make sure your in comfortable clothing and you feel warm enough. 
  3. Take a few deep breaths to allow your mind and body to relax and settle. 
  4. Bring deliberate attention to the music: start by picking a single instrument or melody to follow through the entirety of the tune. Listening like this, narrowing your attention, can be very soothing as your mind divests from anxious thoughts. 
  5. Experiment with listening to other instruments, and see how many sounds and tracks you can pursue throughout the entire song. You may be surprised at how much you can notice.
